Production notes
Originally from growing areas in the south east of Spain this variety is also known as Mourvèdre in France. In Washington the fruit retains great acidity due to our cool nights at harvest, giving this wine great freshness and lower alcohol levels.

James Suckling - 92 Pts
Plums, violets, raspberries and cinnamon on the nose. It’s medium-bodied, silky and bright, with fine tannins and a succulent finish. Delightful to drink now.
Sean Sullivan - 93 Pts, Critics Choice
This is an outstanding offering of this variety as well as a superb value. The aromas bring notes of black pepper, stem, blood orange, red plum, herb, and black raspberry. Plush fruit flavors follow. The directness and purity are dazzling. It’s very varietal and outrageously delicious with a long life ahead of it. Pair it with grilled lamb chops.
