2021 Syrah
This was the first year sourcing Syrah entirely from our organic-certified Konnowac Estate Vineyard.
Aromas of dark plum and blackberry mingle with roasted coffee and chocolate. Flavors explode with dark fruit compote and baking spices. On the palate this wine give a long finish. Our 2021 Syrah should age well and provide pleasure for years to come!

Production notes
Vintage
The vintage in 2021 was characterized by an extremely warm “heat dome” event in June that affected the entire growing season by limiting yields to historic lows but also giving us small concentrated berries.
The Wine
The must was fermented in small lots and the wine was aged using 225 liter French oak barrels for 16 months. It matured in bottle for an additional 12 months before release.
The low yields and warm vintage provide for a ripe and muscular style of Syrah.
Other notes
Pairs With - Barbecue pork, seared tuna steaks, plum sauce.
Drinking Window - Drinking now is fine, but will start to really shine starting in 2025 and going through 2031.

This is creamy and focused with notes of black cherries, black pepper, chocolate and olives in brine. It’s full-bodied with nicely polished, rounded tannins. Should open up even more in a year or two. Drink from 2025
