2020 Idilico Tempranillo

Our 2020Tempranillo comes fromvarious clones planted at Dineen Vineyards(49%-Yakima Valley)and Upland Vineyard (48%-Snipes Mountain). These particular lots of Tempranillo exhibit the desired reductive notes that characterized this bottling and is more akin to the style in the Rioja region of Spain. In 2020 we added a 3% proportion of Upland Vineyard Graciano for a bit of enhanced aromatics and acidity. The must was fermented on skins for two weeks and was barrel aged for 19 months in mostly neutral French oakwith a1 5% sputtering of American oak to anchor the style.The wine was bottled unfined and unfiltered in July 2022.
